Hair
Long hair should be tied back neatly with an understated hair tie, band or clip in school colours of blue, grey or white, and must not cover the child’s eyes. Bandanas are not permitted.
Hairstyles should be standard in style. Extreme haircuts, including mohicans, shaved symbols or designs, are not permitted.
Makeup, nails and tattoos
Makeup, nail varnish, acrylic nails and tattoos, including stick-on tattoos, are not permitted in school.
Swimming Kit
Children must wear a swimming cap, goggles and either swimming trunks or a full swimming costume.
Swimming shorts, sun suits, bikinis and tankinis are not permitted by our swimming providers.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses may only be worn for medical reasons. In sunny weather, a cap or hat with a brim is acceptable.
Jewellery, valuables, watches and medical bracelets
Items of value, including jewellery, expensive watches etc, should not be brought into school.
Jewellery, including ear studs, must not be worn in school as it is a safety hazard. If parents intend to have their child’s ears pierced, this should be done at the beginning of the summer holidays. A grace period of 6 weeks to 3 months will be allowed for newly pierced ears to heal before earrings must be removed. During this time, parents are responsible for covering earrings at the front and back each day.
Please note that children may not take part in swimming lessons while wearing earrings, even if they are covered.
Analogue watches may be worn to support children learning to tell the time.
Children with serious medical needs may wear warning bracelets where parents consider this necessary.
