Hello parents!

We've had a great few weeks settling into Year 5. Now that the children have had this time, I have allocated homework for them to do. Maths and English homework will all be online this year. At the back of the reading diary, there are all the logins the children will need. Maths homework will be set on WhiteRose Infinity and English homework will be on Rollama (the children have been shown how to use this in school). The children have access to TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed, as in previous years. The children would really benefit from frequently practising their times tables as they have three large units on fractions this year. The more tables they know, the easier they will find this. Reading books will be changed every Friday. We encourage the children to read their books more than once during the week for fluency.

Practising spelling. Words that have a g that sound like a j
