Dear parents,

Just an update for the coming weeks on what is happening in our class.

Thursday 14th May - Anglo-Saxon Trip to Liverpool
We will be leaving just after registration, so children need to arrive at 8.45 am. We will be getting the train from Maghull North Station, getting off at Moorfields to walk down to the museum. Children need to come to school in full uniform and must bring a packed lunch with them. Mr MacAreavy will pick us up from Maghull North on the minibus, and we should be back at school for the end of the school day. If anything changes, I will update you on the app.

After half term

PE

You will be happy to know that our PE day will remain a Wednesday for the last half term! There is an extra slot for swimming next half term, and as the children have worked so hard and have shown such maturity, Mr MacAreavy and Mr Kane have selected Year 5 to go swimming next half term again.

Merchant Taylors

We have also had an exciting opportunity to go for sports masterclasses in netball and cricket with experts at Merchant Taylors School. There will be former professional cricketers as well as the head of performance at Merseyside Netball and the Merchant Taylors' strength and conditioning netball coach. The children will leave after registration and return before lunchtime. They are extremely sad that they will be missing Maths and English for this...
