End of Year Message17 July 2025 (by stjohnb) |
Dear Parents and Carers
Just a quick reminder that children are in school uniform tomorrow and that we shall finish at 2.00pm prompt. School starting time is 8.45am and not 9.00am. Children who are habitually late miss out on over an hours teaching each week and somewhere in the region of 30-40 hours throughout a school year. Clearly those who start at 8.45am enjoy a significant advantage and especially our infant children who will be able to engage in their phonics lessons more fully.
As we start a new school year, please help us all, by clearly marking your children's item's of clothing and footwear. Clearly marked garments can be returned quickly to children, avoiding unnecessary upset. Can I remind you that the governing board do not consider earrings as an appropriate accessory. This has been in place for many, many years and result in children missing out in sporting and swimming activities.
Can I thank you all for your wonderful support throughout an incredibly busy but successful year.
Yours sincerely
Mr D MacAreavy - Headteacher
