Dear Parents and Carers

I have told you that I would inform you of the situation in Year 4 regarding Mrs Bretherton as soon as I could.  I am sorry to say that Mrs Bretherton will not be returning until after half term at the earliest and I am sure that you will join me and the staff in wishing her a speedy recovery.  In the meantime I am pleased to have secured the continued services of Miss Batchelor and clearly this continuity will benefit the children.  I have been pleased with our Year 4 children and the progress that they have made both in their school work and in how they have matured throughout the spring term.  
We shall arrange for parents meeting to take place the week before we break for half term, with Miss Batchelor and another of our Junior Teachers who will be able to share your child's progress in the normal manner.  It is our intention to see the parents of 10 children over three sessions immediately after school.  I expect to be able to give you these three dates by the end of the week so that you can sign up for a convenient appointment.
