Dear Parents and Carers

I am sorry to have to inform you that Mrs Bretherton is unwell and it is likely that she will not return until after Easter.  I am sure you will join me and the staff in wishing her a speedy recovery and our thoughts and prayers are with her.  I am pleased that we have been able to secure an excellent teacher who the children are familiar with until Mrs Bretherton returns.  This will ensure continuity as the children have already formed positive relationships with Miss Batchelor.  She will be coming into school on Thursday morning to organise the planning and say hello to the class.  Tomorrow we have another very familiar teacher who the children know.  I am sure they will enjoy seeing Mr Bonnell again.

Clearly this means that parents evenings will have to be deferred until after Easter, however, if you continue to sign up for convenient times, I am sure that Mrs Bretherton will be happy to accommodate your request.  If you need a different time after  Easter that can easily be arranged.  

Fr Grant will be coming into school next week to see the children and discuss arrangements for First Holy Communion including lessons which I will deliver, looking at the Passover and The Last Supper which will be most appropriate as we are in school for Holy Week.  

I shall of course keep you updated if I receive any news.
