Covid Case in Class4 November 2021 (by stjohnb) |
Dear Parents and Carers
I am informing you that a member of our Year 1 Class is currently isolating as they have tested positive for Covid 19. Although they are well in themselves, their parents have asked me to inform you of the symptoms, headache and pains in stomach, I would like to inform you so that you can be extra vigilant with regards to your own child/children.
The latest Government Guidance informs us that individuals are not to self isolate if they live with someone who has Covid 19, or if they are a close contact of someone with Covid 19 and they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months. They should continue to attend school as normal. Many of you have used lateral flow tests and it may be good practice although not enforceable to undertake such a test until the situation returns to normal.
The school will continue to monitor numbers of identified cases and I ask that you continue to follow good practice and common sense as we continue to monitor the return of our children to school with the removal of several control measures.
I hope you find this information helpful.
It seems inevitable that individual cases will continue for the foreseeable future but it is important that we continue to do as much as we can to reduce the incident of cases within our local community.
Yours sincerely
Mr D MacAreavy - Headteacher
