Dear Parents and Carers

We enjoyed a visit from Fr Grant this week and he was able to spend some time with your children in Year 5. He was delighted that Mr Mainwaring and I have started to prepare your children with the Passover Study Module. We have arranged a visit to church where Fr Grant will give the children a tour of the church and talk to them about the Eucharist and it's importance in their preparation for their First Holy Communion.

The boys will be provided with a new sash and tie (these need to be returned to school) and we ask that they wear a long sleeve white shirt and grey trouser and school shoes. We have arranged for the school photographer to come to school for after your ceremonies, so that you can have a professional family photo taken at school. There will be no class party as you have all made your own arrangements however the children will have a celebration afternoon the following week where all the class can enjoy some special time together.

We are pleased that we are able to sing at Mass and it is also good news that Fr Grant is able to have family groups of up to 8 people. There will still need to be an empty bench to comply with latest guidance. I would suggest that you have a mask with you if required to wear one as this rule varies from church to church.
